Walailak University, situated in Nakhon Si Thammarat, a cultural and natural diverse province in southern Thailand, is proud to host the 14th International Joint Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering (JCSSE2017). The focus of this event will be on innovation through software technology.
It is inconceivable how we could have lived and worked without some kind of software that ties all computing machines/devices as well as data together.
Through the advance of the Internet of Things, and reduction in costs associated with chip manufacturing, we are seeing an explosion in the number of devices embedded with electronics, software, sensors and network connectivity. More than ever, computing technology has the power to affect human lives, with researchers and software developers expanding on computational theory and principles to operate highly intelligent and ubiquitous applications. Increasingly, general innovations have their basis in software or are entirely software based. This trend is expected to continue in the near future.

The conference will bring together researchers, scientists and engineers around the world to present their novel accomplishments in computer science and software engineering as well as their applications. We invite you to join the community at JCSSE2017 to share your advanced research work in technology areas such as pervasive computing, big data, IoT, cloud computing, embedded systems, etc.; as well as the quality attributes required to realize these technologies such as security, interoperability and privacy. Topics include, but are not limited to, the followings:
Cluster and Grid Computing
Computational Science and Engineering
Computer and Internet Security
Computer Networks and Communications
Internet of Things
Knowledge and Data Management
Machine Learning and Intelligent Systems
Multimedia and Computer Graphics
Ontology and Semantic Web
Pervasive and Mobile Computing
Computer Educational Technology
Papers should not exceed six (6) pages including results, figures, and references. All manuscripts must be prepared in the standard IEEE Conference Proceedings format in PDF. Manuscript templates are made available on the website. Only electronic submissions in PDF format will be accepted via EDAS submission system. All submissions will be subjected to a double-blind review procedure. At least one of the authors must register to present the paper at the conference upon acceptance.
Accepted papers will be propose to IEEE to include in IEEEXplore® Digital Library, which has published the selected JCSSE papers since JCSSE2012.
The issue will be published in Vol. 15, No.6, June 2018.
However, if you decide to do so, your papers will be excluded from IEEE Xplore® Digital Library. The authors must present your works at JCSSE2017.
Note that every invited manuscript will be assessed by 2-3 referees. It will be either revised for publication in this special issue or rejected. After improvement, the rejected manuscript may be reconsidered for inclusion in the regular issue after June 2018.
Alternatively, the authors may choose to (exclude from selected papers to WJST) extend your works and submit to ECTI-CIT (Review process will be conducted by ECTI-CIT). Note that the papers
will still be published in IEEE Xplore® Digital Library.
